Inspired by my interest in cars and their complex engine

systems, I created this kinetic sculpture to explore

similarities between mechanical and neural networks.

Interlocking gears of different sizes are powered by a

motor, allowing individual parts to move together as one

system. The branching forms surrounding the gears were

especially inspired by the shapes and connections of

neurons. I kept visible drawing and sketch lines on the

surfaces, adding a hand-drawn quality that contrasts with

the precise mechanical movement. Together, these

elements visualize thought as a constantly connected and

moving system.
