06_ Genomic Sequence Map of Societal Cacophony

  • Title: Genomic Sequence Map of Societal

    Cacophony

  • Year: 2026

  • Dimension:  25.3H x 38W cm

  • Material: Gouache and oil pastel on paper

This piece at first glance is a busy, dynamic

scene from everyday life, but parts of the image

appear to glitch. These ‘glitches’ are inspired

by genomic sequence maps, which translate

human genes into biological codes. I was

intrigued by the theme of exploring beneath the

cacophony of modern society; from daily

hassles to global crises, everything ultimately

can be expressed with simple linear lines with a

biological lens. Again, I attempted to connect

daily lives of humanity with biotechnology.
