This mechanical sculpture associates the human heart
with race car engines. Using painted metallic materials and
a disassembled structure, I created a form that appears
both anatomical and mechanical. I was stimulated from
the way engines are often described as the “heart” of a
vehicle, and how both the heart and the engine generate
rhythm, force, and movement. By merging the two, the
work links the physical pulse of the body with the intensity
and exhilaration of motorsport.
